My favorite thing most of all were the beautiful drawings which bring everything to life for me. Park Avenue Kitchen

Dear Eileen,

Thank you for designing my kitchen, for the second time. I didn’t think I could possibly find a kitchen that worked as well as the one you designed for me in Pennsylvania, but you did it again! The new kitchen works so well. Everything is in easy reach and I not only have space for all of my large collection of cooking and baking gear, but I still have room for more. I am making lots of bread and with this layout I am not running around looking for space to put down my boards and hot pans.

My cork floor is so easy to keep and very soft and comfortable under foot. It’s so easy to care for – a quick damp mop is all it needs to keep it looking great.

You must come back to NYC soon so we can enjoy the city together.

Cape Coral Kitchen and Bath

When we decided to convert our vacation home into our permanent residence, we knew our kitchen and bathrooms would need a complete remodel. We were referred to Design Matters Studio and were thrilled to be introduced to products, craftsmanship, custom cabinetry, and design ideas that we never knew existed. Irish started with a few sketches and sample finishes that blossomed into gorgeous, functional, custom spaces that continue to make us smile each day. Some of our favorite things about the project are the items we hadn’t even thought of, but were the vision of a designer who knew how to give us things we didn’t even know we wanted. For example, we had this ugly skinny linen closet in the guest bath that has now been transformed into a beautiful corner custom towel cabinet. We wouldn’t have thought of it, but can’t imagine living without it now. Other strokes of genius include a “wine wall” of custom cabinetry that houses a beverage center, and storage to display bottles of wine, wine glasses, and collectibles that greet each visitor to our kitchen and family room.

In every way, the entire project far exceeded our hopes and dreams. Not only do we love the end result, the rarity is that we enjoyed the process. We are indeed delighted beyond words to live in this work of art, and we sure don’t mind the oohs, aahs, and wows that everyone else adds. There’s no place like home, and you have made ours so special.
